Myrtle Beach Cabana District

Imagine an exclusive beachfront home, only steps from the water for under $80,000! That’s what you’ll find in the cabana district in Myrtle Beach. About a dozen of these 200 square foot beach structures line the shore in this Ocean Boulevard area.

The cabanas have questionable origins; some believe they originally belonged to beach homes across the street that have since been destroyed and replaced with condos. Others say the structures belonged to the Ocean Forest Hotel that stood from 1930 to 1974, and later offered for sale after the hotel was torn down.

In any event these small buildings are among the hottest pieces of real estate in town; only two have come on the market in the last seven years. Generally local realtors maintain lists of prospective buyers, and if a unit or lot becomes available it usually sells within 30 minutes.

Myrtle Beach native, Steve Bailey, purchased his cabana lot after a five minute phone call with his real estate agent. Apparently the building codes were extremely restrictive, requiring numerous permits, installation of a septic system, and underground utility lines. He can’t have a driveway, park on his property, step on the dunes, touch the sea oats or move any of the sand on the lot. Bailey claimed that building the cabana had more restrictions than building a house, but it was worth the effort.

Most residents don’t bother with insurance, as the costs are so high, it’s cheaper to rebuild. However, don’t be fooled, these beach huts may be small, but they’re mighty. One in particular, owned by Kevin Warren and Dean Carroll, is estimated at over 20 years of age. Its solid structure has survived annual hurricanes for years.

Rod Scarborough, a retired bank executive, spent five years trying to obtain his $78,000 piece of the beach located from a 40-foot setback to the high tide mark. His beach home is in use frequently, with an open door policy extended to his friends and family.

These cherished little beach huts have provided an exclusive getaway that only a fortunate few have been able to acquire. Hopefully they will remain for years to come, handed down as heirlooms from generation to generation.

Mission Beach San Diego

The area of Mission Beach is a stretch of the sandbar
along the Pacific Ocean. Through Mission Beach, the
main artery is Mission Boulevard. This Boulevard is
a popular place to go in the summer or winter, as
there are main shops and restaurants.

Near Mission Beach, you’ll find attractions such as
Sea World and Belmont Park. Both amusement parks are
well known, and very popular. Within the two you’ll
find rides such as the Giant Dipper Roller Coaster,
Chaos, Vertical Plunge, the Liberty Carousel, and
The Trampoline.

Mission Beach also gives you plenty of opportunities
to participate in volleyball, tanning, surfing,
skateboarding, and many other activities. There is
also a local skating club, Skate This, which performs
for free on the weekends with sick tricks and dancing.

Even though nudity isn’t allowed on the beach, alcohol
still is. Thong bikinis aren’t legal on the beach,
although lifeguards and security personal normally don’t
make a big deal about it.

With plenty of shops and restaurants, Mission Beach
in San Diego is a great place to go. The beach is
very warm and offers a sandy environment. If you like
the beach with other perks to offer, Mission Beach is
one place you should check out.

Maui Beaches

The island of Maui is home to some of the most amazing
beaches. Some beaches offer swimming all year 강남셔츠룸 round,
while others are best for surfing or snorkeling
during certain times of the year. Depending on
where you choose to stay, there are always some
famous beaches nearby.

West Maui beaches
If you drive along the west coast of Maui from Lahaina
to Kapalua, you’ll see many breathtaking beaches
along the coast. Kaanapali Beach will offer
you over three miles of white sand with a variety
of watersports, including surfing, sailboating,
and even catamaran rides. On the north end of
the beach is Black Rock, which is well known for

Visitors like the sandy beach at Napili Bay,
because there are no high rise buildings around,
and the bay is protected well from waves. The
Kapalua Resort in west Maui is home to Kapalua
Beach, Oneloa Bay Beach, and the D.T. Fleming

South Maui Beaches
The rule with Hawaii and Maui is that the further
south you travel, the less crowded the beaches
will be.

Kihei offers you a series of beaches along the
six mile coastline, some even offering lifeguards,
restrooms, and picnic areas. Polo Beach and
Wailea Beach offer both restrooms and equipment
rentals. Or, if you prefer a more secluded beach,
you should visit Maluaka Beach at the Maui
Prince Hotel – where you may even encounter some
green sea turtles.

A few miles past the Maui Prince Hotel is the
Big Beach of Makena, which is one of the best
beaches on Maui. As the name implies, the beach is
quite large, and best of all – empty. It offers
white sand, picnic facilities, and even restrooms.

East Maui Beaches
The beaches of East Maui are unlike others in
Hawaii. Surround by lush scenery, the beaches are
secluded, scenic, and very colorful.

Hamoa Beach is a must visit if you plan to visit
East Maui. As you approach the beach from the
main road, you’ll walk past colorful plants and
palm trees surrounding Hamoa Beach. Just off Hana
Highway is Hana Bay Beach, which offers black
volcanic sand.

The Red Sand Beach is difficult to get to, you’ll
need to find a narrow path along the coast. The
beach offers plenty of swimming and snorkeling,
and you should be the only one there – which is
great for those looking for privacy. Even though
it is hard to get to, Red Sand Beach is truly one
of a kind.

Marine Street Beach

Located near the upscale community of La Jolla, the
Marine Street Beach is a small cluster of high end
clothiers, hotels, shops, and galleries. The
beach is also legendary to body surfers and body
boarders due to it’s thunderous waves which always
seem to crash the shoreline at the right time.

Keep in mind, this beach may not be ideal for
families, as there are no public restrooms, picnic
areas, and the rough surf conditions aren’t well
suited for children. If you have a family, you may
want to find another beach.

Even though it isn’t the best beach for families,
Marine Street Beach offers plenty of privacy and
gorgeous white sand that can make for a fun day
of sunbathing with friends.

The rough waves found at this beach have been
known to seriously injure swimmers and body boarders
in the past. If you aren’t that experienced with
the water, you should always make sure that you
repect both the water and the waves here.

During the summer months and on peak weekends during
the fall and spring, there are lifeguards stationed
on the beach. You should plan to park on the
street at Marine Street Beach, as there are no
public lots. You should try to get here early,
as it can be very hard to find a parking space,
especially during summer and on the weekends.

Getting there
If you are coming from the north, take I-5 south.
Take the exit at Genessee Avenue, head west, then
make a left on Torrey Pines Road. Go down the
hill into downtown La Jolla, turn left on Girad
Avenue then right on Pearl Street. Turn left at
La Jolla Boulevard then right on Marine Street.

From the south, take I-5 north to Torrey Pines
Road. Once you arrive in La Jolla Downtown,
simply follow the same directions from above.

Marari Beach Resort Kerala For A Vacation

The Marari Beach Resort in Kerala is in a superb, if a touch isolated location on a totally unspoiled beach about an hour south of Cochin. The hotel has been deliberately built to be eco friendly, has wonderful facilities and gorgeous self-contained villas with open-air bathrooms.

If you can, stay in a pool garden villa as this had a walled patio for the pool and sunbeds with lovely plants and creepers against the walls. This gave the pool villas real privacy that they other villas did not have.

There is a separate wooden gate to the compound with a lock.

The food was also some of the best we have eaten in an hotel anywhere, although to be fair, we do like Indian food!!

One of the outstanding memories was the genuine welcome, attentiveness and kindness of the staff, which is a great credit to a very good management team.

Good staff we expect from this quality of hotel, but our experience here was that the staff went the extra mile for us, and there is no doubt that great staff makes a good hotel great

If you want to relax in great comfort, then this is the spot, because there is literally nothing around to spoil the peace and quiet.

There are no restaurants, or hotels nearby, so I would say it is an ideal honeymoon destination, or a place to relax after a tour of Southern India, but not somewhere to take exhuberant children who want entertainment.

The hotel also offer a series of reasonably priced excursions which they appear to run with no minimum numbers. Of course, the main and most popular excursion is a day cruise or an overnight cruise on a houseboat through the rivers and canals of the region.

Marari Beach Resort Kerala is highly recommended for stressed executives.

It’s an opportunity to go for a canoe ride or a catamaran cruise round the harbor. At sundown, the spectacular begins with a buffet, island music and Tahitian and Hawaiian dancing displays. Other displays include a fire knife dance show and hula dancing.

Running events are an important part of cities these days and the annual Robert C. McAvoy Labor Day 5 Mile Run is well supported.
